Monica Leon is a multidisciplinary designer, born and raised in Guatemala City, Guatemala. She comes from a second-generation immigrant family and grew up in the restaurant industry. With a keen eye for detail, promoting the family-owned business and understanding customer needs was what sparked her interest in the communications and media industry. In 2014, she graduated from the Pennsylvania State University with a Bachelor of Arts in Advertising with minors in Business and Digital Media Trends and Analytics. Upon graduating, she moved to New York City to pursue a career in advertising as an Account Executive. In 2019, she enrolled in the Integrated Digital Media graduate program at New York University. Her focus is on UX design and the implementation of cultural diversity in media and technology.
